We are recruiting an additional Customer Support Adviser to join our thriving business in the Isle of Man. Due to continuous positive growth, we're looking for a new colleague to join us and support our customers. We're a well-established organisation with relationships that have been built over the 80 years we have had a presence on the island. Our customers are at the heart of everything we do, and we're delighted to bring our expertise and support to customers during their time of need.
As a Customer Support Adviser, you'll be delivering high levels of customer service in person at our customer counter, over the phone, and via email. You'll be responding to queries, updating customer details on our internal systems, conducting renewal discussions and mid-term adjustments. Whether you have previous insurance experience or not, you'll be well supported by our experienced colleagues whilst onboarding and studying towards your NFU Mutual Insurance licences. The licensing process is a marathon, not a sprint, and involves a blend of e-learning, interactive webinars and self-directed learning, followed by assessment. You'll learn all you need to know about insurance and the related sales activities to set you up for a career of success. Once licenced, you'll be hands-on and support customers with Motor and Personal lines insurance products.
This is an excellent opportunity for you if you're looking to embark on a new career with a well-established, solid organisation, offering you a stable opportunity to learn and develop.
You'll bring excellent customer focus from previous customer service roles, whether that be from a retail or hospitality setting, or from a contact centre or sales setting.
You're able to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues from all walks of life - you have an adaptive style when engaging with stakeholders, listening actively and attentively, enabling you to build rapport quickly and authentically. Your attention to detail and accuracy will ensure you handle administrative tasks and policy updates efficiently. You'll be adaptable and IT-savvy, comfortable learning new systems and processes as our technology evolves. Your learning mindset will help you navigate our comprehensive training and licensing journey, while your willingness to muck in and support your teammates will make you a valued member of our close-knit branch. You're able to handle challenging situations with professionalism, and any interest in farming, equine, or the outdoors will be a welcome bonus. It's not essential, but if you have previous experience within insurance, financial services or a regulated business this would be advantageous as this would support your ability to meet the requirements and standards of NFU Mutual, the Training and Competence Scheme and our regulators.
